2cb aka Bees, CB, Nexus, Bromo
HistoryAfter being synthesized in 1974 it was originally used in the psychiatric community as an aid during therapy. It was a very successful drug for this use because of its short duration, lack of side effects and relative mild effects. It was soon taken up as a recreational drug, commercially promoted as a aphrodisiac under the brand "Eros", manufactured by German pharmaceutical company Drittewelle. For a number of years it was also available in
Holland under the brand "Nexus" in tablet form. It was
placed on the List 1 of the Opium Law even after being sold without
incident. It was then replaced with uncontrolled
substance of a similiar composition like 2C-I, 2C-T-2 and 2C-T-7
(all of which were later banned in turn). In rave culture the drug is commonly sold under the name of ecstacy as the tablet look similiar. Street prices range between $10-20 per tablet in the USA when bought for personal use.
